Tesla participates in the E-Verify Program
- Develop ground up based Should Cost Models within a commodity, across several different manufacturing processes and product sets
- Understand manufacturing processes and related CapEx, tooling, labor, raw material costs and other inputs needed to manufacture components that drive cost
- Create databases and systems to be able to track cost and spend data, at both the CapEx and component level
- Develop and track program spend and report outwardsregardingbudgetstatus
- Work cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance
- Standardize reporting of cost down initiatives between Engineering and Finance
- Ensure cost down projects have resources appropriatelyallocatedand are meeting timelines dictated by ProgramManagement; identifytrends in current costing to help inform current and future designdecisions
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Manufacturing Engineering, evidence of experience and exceptional ability, or equivalent
- 5 years of experience in supply chain management, or commodity management
- Technical and commercial understanding of tooling and manufacturing processes
- Experience with mechanical engineering concepts related to the commodity and ability to generate bottom-up should costs based on the understanding of manufacturing process
- Proficient knowledge of technical requirements and design of the product and be able to influence cross functional partners with detailed analysis that supports optimized pricing and product sourcing decisions
- Excellent negotiator, collaborator, and communicator

$64,000 - $216,000/annual salary cash and stock awards benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
